The Region

C’an Puput is just 5 minutes from Campanet with its supermarket, banks, bars and Tuesday market. The famous caves of  Campanet are just down the road as are the Font d’Ufanes. Pollenca with its colourful Sunday craft market is 15 minutes away, and the beaches of Cala San Vicente, Alcudia and Can Picafort an easy 20 minute drive. Palma with its historic centre, gastronomy and nightlife is but 30 minutes away. This vibrant and cosmopolitan city boasts an historic old quarter, modernist architecture, pretty squares and an imposing 13th century cathedral overlooking the Mediterranean.

Golf There are 24 courses on Mallorca. Two of these  golf courses are nearby, one of the finest on the island is Aucanada near Port Alcudia with fabulous views to the sea.   Golf Pollenca  (9 holes) set amongst lovely old olive trees.

Cycling Mallorca is a cyclist’s paradise and the area around Campanet has many well known cycle routes linking a good network of tracks and lanes ….. through sleepy villages, fertile plains, olive groves. Enjoy the almond blossom in spring, wild flowers and butterflies in May, and the deep green of the indigenous carob tree in early summer

Walking The rugged Tramuntana region is famous for its walks and ancient paved paths in stunning scenery and dramatic fusion of mountains and coast. Some of the islands best walking is here between terraces of olive, citrus and almond groves.. All levels and abilities.

Bird Watching Mallorca is a wonderful destination for anyone interested in birds.The Tramuntana region has abundant bird life especially mid April to mid May during the spring migration season. The Hoopoe is the national bird of Mallorca, known locally as a Puput. Egrets…….Albufera natural reserve at Alcudia probably the best wetland site on any Mediterranean island.  Mallorca is home to birds such as Black Vulture, Eleonara’s Falcon, Audouins Gull, Moustached Warbler and Marmora’s Warbler.

Campanet is a perfect base being in the Sierra Tramuntana and. 20 minutes from Albufera marsh, 20 minutes from the Boquer Valley and 30 minutes from the stunning views at Formentor
